It's a new year and a great opportunity to learn new skills! Skills that will make use of your hands, your brain and even save you some dollars along the way. Join us for the very first "Do-It-Yourself" (DIY) workshop at the Home Depot where you will learn about:
- Electrical: Learn basic information about electricity, outlets, switches, bulbs and fixtures, including how to change light fixtures.
- Plumbing: Learn how to remove an existing bath faucet and replace it with a new unit and toilet.
- Home security and energy efficiency: Want to know the latest technology on home securitym entry, deadbolt systems, thermostats and more? Join us!
- If we have time, we will also learn painting, simple flooring and tiling.
Please note: Dinner will be provided following the workshop.
This event is FREE for members of the Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Toronto. All materials/equipment will be provided. Non-members are requested to pay $20.
This event is for community members aged 15 and above.
